Mr. McCaughrin asked The Captain has this vessel ever carried 20' Sea Container before? NO said The Captain only Coal and Iron Ore. Mr. McCaughrin said You do now at least for the Next 6 months. The Sale People in Vietnam are not giving me the numbers I was promised So I said OK I will do it for 6 months & You cant get the numbers like what we are doing now That rate goes up but still lower then anyone on planet! Mr. McCaughrin said I rather go 88 miles out of our way to Durban Container Port then go to Richard Bay and find out We can only unload -50% of the 20' Sea Containers then Travel 88 miles Later to Unload The other +50% that not Good for Clients & Make FOBS look like idiots.. In Less "Richard Bay "Can Guarantee FOBS" They can indeed Handle All 14,500 /20' Sea Containers Great", But FOBS has been waiting on that Answer for 5 days long before FOBS left Hon Net, Vietnam. Mr. McCaughrin then brought on 40 Welders and 5,000 tons of Steel Plates while underway over 2 years period in securing hull enough to make a Asia Shipyard which CDB had to make payment and the reason for later lawsuit.
Maersk & Hapag Lloyd complain that Mr. McCaughrin was going to use 12/400,000 DWT Asiamax's Multi-Purpose 20' Sea Container & Bulk Carriers to disrupt the Container Markets in Fall of 2025 to Further Expand McCaughrin Maritime Global Market Strength in Using All 12 Asiamax's at Specific Seaports that Maersk & Hapag Lloyd also uses.
